I started playing hardball in graduate school at Johns Hopkins. After a 10-year hiatus living in Texas, we returned to the area and I started playing again when I discovered that Potomac Squash Club was only a few minutes drive from home and work.
What is your best memory about playing squash?
I captained Potomac Squash Club Div 2 teams for many years and really enjoyed the team spirit, sense of competition, and playing at the many clubs in the greater DC area.
How have you improved as a squash player working with me/What is your favorite thing about working with me?
Since starting training with you about 8 months ago, my biggest improvement has been in my footwork.
What I most like about training with you is that virtually every drill involves the many of the elements of competitive squash – fitness, footwork, racket preparation, swing, and shot selection.
I most like the 3-shot drill: (1) drive, (2) get to the boast and hit a cross-court,(3) then retrieve and return long drive from the start side; repeat.
What is your next squash goal?
I want to win a national championship in the 65+ category.
